ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Eligible to register with NMC
- 1+ year relevant experience in a 100 bed tertiary hospital
- Must have scored a minimum of a band 7 in Speaking, Listening, Reading and a minimum of a band 6.5 in Writing of IELTS or a minimum of a grade B in Speaking, Listening, Reading and a minimum of a grade C+ in Writing of OET

THE LOCATION
West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust provides acute healthcare services to a core catchment population of approximately half a million people living in west Hertfordshire and the surrounding area. Overall, the population served by the trust is relatively affluent, but there are some areas of deprivation.
The trust also provides a range of more specialist services to a wider population, serving residents of North London, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and East Hertfordshire.
As an employer of almost 5,000 people the trust is one of the biggest employers in the area and sees nearly a million patients each year.

- Staff Nurse Band 5 salary £27,055, high cost area allowance of £1,353, Gross Salary total £28,408
- Years’ of experience will be considered for a higher point in the Band 5 salary after NMC pin number has been received*
- Accommodation allowance of £1000 paid within the first two weeks’ of arrival
- Refund of IELTs / OET exam fee £220
- Refund of CBT exam fee £83
- Refund of flight up to £750
- Refund of standard visa application fee £232
- Cover the cost of the OSCE examination fee
- Trust will provide comprehensive OSCE support
*Recognising relevant prior experiences: eg. A registered nurse has 5 years experience in various settings. For example, 2 years of this is working in a GP practice, 1 year in a care home and 2 years in an acute care hospital setting only the 2 years gained from the acute care setting would be recognised as relevant experience and therefore the staff member would be commenced on mid spine point with pay uplift to top-spine point after 24 months
