Wexford General Hospital is part of the Ireland East Hospital Group (IEHG) governed by a Board of Management which is chaired by the Hospital Manager. WGH is a 280 bedded hospital providing in-patient, out-patient, Day Care, Outreach and Emergency services situated in the South East corner of Ireland with access to the M11 and M25. The hospital provides acute services to the county of Wexford and also provides services to the adjoining counties of Waterford, Kilkenny, Carlow and South Tipperary and particularly maternity services to Wicklow.
Eligible applicants must hold a Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) Level 8 (or higher) major academic award e.g. Honours Degree or Higher Diploma in Health and Safety, or other relevant area (that is, a qualification or cognate degree accredited by Institute or Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) for membership at Graduate or higher level) http://www.iosh.co.uk/Membership/About-membership/Qualifications.aspx
have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Occupational Health and Safety Officer/Advisor role
Have a minimum of 1.5 years’ experience in Occupational Health and Safety Advisor/Officer (or equivalent) or Assistant role
Have a minimum of 1.5 years’ experience in a healthcare in a clinical or support services role (i.e. a combined total of 3 years’ experience)
must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and management ability, for the proper discharge of the office.
Salary & Benefits:
· Salary range €73,209 – €88,298 – dependent on experience
· Full Time, Permanent
