The Royal Free London NHS foundation trust has around 900 beds and sees about 750,000 patients a year from all over the world. They employ around 5,200 people.
The Trust services include a major accident and emergency service, all branches of surgery and medicine, a renal service serving the whole of north London, paediatrics, maternity services, care of elderly people, an adolescent psychiatric service and one of two high security infectious diseases units in the country.
THE POSITION
At The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust there are two levels of Neonatal care over 2 sites. Special Care is provided for babies who need to be monitored closely who have been born slightly early or are unwell. This service is available at both the Barnet and Royal Free sites. Intensive care is for more premature babies or sicker babies who need specialist care and this is located at the Barnet site only.
The Starlight Neonatal Unit (Barnet Hospital) is for babies born from 27 weeks gestation onwards. Intensive care is provided for newborn babies. This is the first UK neonatal unit to provide 10 individualised care rooms to allow family centred developmental care where parents to stay throughout the neonatal journey; this allows parents to learn valuable skills and knowledge whilst being supported by trained staff in order to confidently care for their baby.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Eligible to register with NMC
Non-EU Trained Nurses – A minimum of 12 months acute hospital experience in NICU is required
IELTS or OET is required if applying from a country where an english language test is required for NMC registration. Academic IELTS (with a score of 7 in Listenting, Reading and Speaking and a score of 6.5 in Writing) or OET Exams (with a Grade B in Listening, Reading and Speaking and a Grade C+ in Writing)
