Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Breast Care) Cork

This role is based in Cork city and is a maternity leave cover contract. It is a full time position, but some flexibility may be considered.

The post holder will work in the Breast Screening Unit in liaison and in co-operation with Clinical Director and the multidisciplinary team.

Responsibility for the nursing requirements of women attending the Breast Screening Unit.

The post of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Breast Care Nurse) has a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating and managing patient care activity in conjunction with existing breast care nurses (CNM2’s) in the unit.

The main responsibilities are to provide consultative nursing, educational expertise in all  areas of the speciality, quality assurance, resource management, staff development, practice development, facilitating communication and professional/clinical leadership. 

To be considered for the role the following criteria are essential:

Essential requirements:

·       Are registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)) or entitled to be so registered.

and

·       Have at least 5 years post registration experience of which 2 must be in the speciality or related area of Breast Care and/or Oncology

Salary & Benefits:

·       Salary range (€60,000 – €70,000) dependent on experience

·       Full Time (flexible working would be considered)

·       Relocation Package
