Getting to and from Leicester
One of the most important aspects of moving to any country is to consider how you will travel there. Luckily Leicester is only a 30 minute drive to the East Midlands Airport and a 45 minute drive to Birmingham. Both Airports have direct flights to Portugal. The City is also 1 hr 15 minutes by train to London, which also has direct flights to Lisbon.
Entertainment in Leicester
Leicester is brimming with things to see and do. The state-of-the-art, award-winning venues including Curve, Highcross Shopping Centre, renowned museums and galleries and the National Space Centre which will keep you busy during your day off. They are also the perfect place to entertain your family and friends when they come to visit!

The City also offers a fantastic calendar of live events and festivals. Given Leicester’s location right in the heart of the UK, it attracts the largest international performers alongside offering fantastic local talent, truly offering, something for everyone.
This year the city is also hosting part of the 2015 Rugby World Cup. Leicester will host 3 matches during the tournament.
Scrum 2015
Even if you don’t have a ticket for the matches, the city will be hosting the Rugby World Cup 2015 Fanzone from 3 -11 October in Victoria Park. The Fanzone will comprise of a big screen showing live matches from across the competition plus food, drinks and entertainment. The atmosphere in the city will be electric and should not be missed!
