MIDWIFERY NURSES - SOUTH TIPPERARY

THE HOSPITAL 

South Tipperary General Hospital (STGH) is a 255-bedded hospital, located in the scenic town of Clonmel, County Tipperary. The hospital provides acute general care, emergency services, and maternity services to a population of 86,000 people. STGH serves the catchment area of South Tipperary and also provides services to patients residing in North Tipperary and West Waterford.

THE POSITION

You will be joining a successful team of midwives uniquely placed to support the needs of childbearing women and their families. South Tipperary General Hospital is seeking experienced midwives for full-time, permanent positions at the Hospital. Successful candidates will be based initially at STGH and will progress to working in community maternity services.

 

THE LOCATION

South Tipperary is a scenic yet convenient location in the middle of Ireland. It is very close to both Limerick and Waterford and also maintains regular transport links to Cork and Dublin. You’ll be assured of a big welcome in Tipperary and a chance to experience the best that Ireland has to offer, especially in terms of Heritage sites and Historic buildings. Clonmel is also Tipperary’s largest town with plenty of shopping facilities, bars and restaurants.

ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA?

  • EU qualification in Midwifery

  • Registered in the Midwifery Division of Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or be entitled to register

  • 12 month experience post qualification
